  • I do grief groups with parents who have lost kids after years of horrendous treatment. Many feel very guilty about hanging on so long.

  • I don't usually believe in conspiracy theories, but I find it really interesting in watching how business seemed to wait until after the election to start hiring again. Could some of them, at least, have been hoping that lousy job numbers would hurt the Democrats and help the Republicans? Nah!

  • I keep wondering how many teachers would still be working if she'd really done something for California. Or how many cops, fire personnel? Could elementary school class size limits have stayed in place if her heart were controlling her money, instead of her ego.

  • I watched it on tv and was appalled when the committee recommended he become a justice. I've never had much compassion for Arlen Specter since - he savaged her with his questions. Apology? For what? Telling the truth at some cost to herself. No, I don't think so.

  • I think he just had a bad day. Wrong place, wrong time, though. Sounds like stuff just piled up and he blew. Maybe another job?

  • It isn't surprising that he's not done a good job, having had zero experience in government. It really can help - honest. But will the Whitman and Fiorina backers look for history to teach them somethkng here? Nah! Winning is too important, no matter what the cost.
